Let's recycle fellow Pinoys! My hubby and I are have been active supporters of recycling for many years now. Even our sons know where to "throw" their scratch papers or fruit peelings. In our home, we have several waste baskets and empty rice sacks where we segregate all our trash (paper, plastic, cans etc.). All biodegradables are buried in our backyard while those that can still be used or recycled, we sell/give to the dyaryo-bote guys roaming the village streets. Konti na lang yung nakokolekta sa amin when the garbage truck comes twice a week. We really believe in making our environment safer for future generations through responsible waste management.
The email below was such good news to me because I have long been despairing of where to dump all the non-traditional trash that we still have at home -- a broken computer keyboard, a DVD player that recently went kaput, old cellphones that don't work anymore etc. etc. I am very glad that the program below has already been initiated last September. Last week, the waste trading market has also been featured in the Probe Team and I really hope that a lot of Filipinos will take part in making our country a better place to live in.
Let's all do our part by making recycling a habit. Promise, it's not at all difficult as long as you have the determination to see it through :) Please spread the good news by forwarding this information to your friends and family.
Thanks and God bless,
Ruth
